Woody Wright & Friends Includes Four Top Quartets
July 29, 2008
On July 22nd in Alexandria, Indiana, Woody Wright and friends performed at the Madison County 4-H Fair. The main floor and grandstands were at capacity for the Tuesday evening Gospel concert. Woody enlisted the help of his best friend and singing partner, his wife Vonnie. After their set, another friend and Homecoming performer Stephen Hill wowed the audience with several songs. Then the audience found that Woody has more friends than they knew. Bill Gaither came onstage, and brought along his Gaither Vocal Band, Ernie Haase and Signature Sound and the Oak Ridge Boys! The stage was then filled to capacity with Gordon Mote, Gary McSpadden, Kevin Williams and Rory Rigdon.
The atmosphere was electric and the small town crowd enjoyed the exciting concert event. The artists were all in town for video taping of “The Best of the Oak Ridge Boys” to be released next year. Woody said, “I invited Bill to bring some of the folks over after the taping. He graciously accepted the invitation, and helped to give his hometown a concert event that they will never forget. This was truly a great evening for our community.”
