Bill Gaither Celebrates the Musical Artistry of Piano Virtuoso Gordon Mote with The Best of Gordon Mote

DVD Releases July 22 with TV Airings Beginning July 19

Nashville, TN  – Gordon Mote, one of the most innovative keyboard players and A-list session musicians in Nashville, is the subject of a Bill Gaither-hosted 100-minute DVD, The Best of Gordon Mote, slated for a July 22nd release.  An abbreviated version of the DVD will air as a special on numerous television networks beginning the weekend of July 19.

The Best of Gordon Mote features performance footage of the keyboard wizard, who has been a favorite on the Gaither Homecoming videos and tour since 2006, punctuated by revealing conversations with Bill Gaither about his music, his extraordinary success in the face of physical blindness and the unique vision he applies to living his life to the fullest.  Mote’s self-deprecating humor and his incredible joy in life shine through his music and his conversation as he leads Bill Gaither through the incredible journey of his life and faith.  Sharing center-stage with Mote are his wife and three children and his mother, who recalls the special moment she learned although her three-year-old son may have been born without sight, he displayed a God-given gift for music.

Although Mote has appeared on stage and on record with everyone from Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney to Lee Greenwood and Trisha Yearwood, southern gospel with a flair for blues is where his heart has led him, as his music demonstrates. Among the stand-out performances by the multiple ACM Award-nominated instrumentalist are “The Old Gospel Ship,” “Get Up in Jesus Name,” “Wake Up Dancin,” and “Mercy Walked In.”
