Nashville, TN: The Beckie Simmons Agency is happy to announce the addition of the newest member, Rodney Tyson, baritone singer and acoustic guitar player to Angelina and Route 77. Rodney is no stranger to Gospel Music. He started singing at a young age in his home church, Wheeler Grove Baptist Church, in Corinth, MS. He tried his hand in show business by moving to Los Angeles, CA after graduation and appearing on “Star Search”. He soon realized that this was not the lifestyle for him, rededicated his life to Christ, moving back home and started performing with a regional group. Later Rodney worked in radio with the legendary radio personality Jerry Edgil at WBTG Radio Sheffield-Florence, Alabama. His last tenure was with the Men of Music of Mobile, AL. Angelina McKeithen states “I am so happy to have someone with the talent, personality, character and knowledge of our industry on stage with Route 77.
