Hoppers in concert Las Vegas, NV
For first time ever, Las Vegas will see a Southern Gospel Music event meant for the whole family. The Hopper and Beene families, two of Southern Gospel’s most renowned performing families will be singing inspirational music from the heart! Special performances from comedian Kevin Burke, star of “Defending the Caveman” and Richel Kompst, local musician. When: May 4, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. (Gates open at 4 p.m.) Where: Henderson Pavilion 200 S. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, NV 89012 What: Sing City is a Southern Gospel Music event for the whole family. Food, fun and fabulous music will be offered in an outdoor theater.
I am the lead singer of Golden State Quartet fomr Bakersfienld, CA and one of the featured West Coast Groups at Fan Fest. If you have never been, make it a point to come out. This will be GSQ’s second year at Fan Fest and my third, take it from me Les, Mike, Dean and Claude pull out all the stops for artist and attendee alike. You wont find a better event of this magnatude on the West Coast. Hope to see you there, make sure you stop by Golden State’s table and say HI!
Darren it’s great to know that we have groups out on the West Coast keeping Southern Gospel alive and well! I am so glad that men like Claude Hopper and Les Beasley saw the need to keep a convention style event going on the West Coast. I know that this is an exciting time of the year for you folks. Who is singing with Phil Cross now? I heard Mitchel Jon is gone . Groups change personel so often and very few can hold their own. Three Bridges is on a roll. I heard they got one of the few Standing ovations at the awards in Smyna, Tenn. They redeemed themselves from the week before. However only the negative gets blogged about. Shame on the nay sayers. So who is Mitchel Jon singing with?
My husband Larry & I, and our son Larry & wife Tawnia had the pleasure of attending the Sing City event held in Las Vegas at the Henderson Pavilion on May 4th. It was absolutely wonderful! I only hope & pray that we will be blessed again with another concert by this terrific group & the Beene family as well. This outdoor setting was perfect as voices were lifted up to our Lord & Savior. A beautiful, spirit filled event. Thank you so much.
