DAILEY & VINCENT REACH #1 ON BILLBOARD’S TOP BLUEGRASS ALBUMS CHART WITH SELF-TITLED DEBUT

 
NASHVILLE, TENN.  (June 16, 2008)— Dailey & Vincent, the acclaimed new duo on Rounder Records, have reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Top Bluegrass Albums chart with their self-titled debut, for the Soundscan week ending June 8 (issue date June 21).  They also make their debut on Billboard’s country albums chart at #57.
 
Released on January 29, Dailey & Vincent debuted at #2 on the Billboard bluegrass chart and has been in the top 5 for 13 of the 19 weeks it has been on the chart.  It is also #1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited album chart for the month of June.
 
At the same time, Dailey & Vincent’s version of “More Than a Name on a Wall,” a top-10 hit for the Statler Brothers in 1989, is #1 for a fourth consecutive week on the Count Down Yonder Weekly Top 17 Songs of SIRIUS Bluegrass.  The chart is based on listener requests.
 
XM Bluegrass Junction will premiere a Track by Track of the entire Dailey & Vincent CD tomorrow, Tuesday, June 17, at 4:00 p.m. (eastern).  Additional airings are as follows (all times eastern):  Thursday, June 19, 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, June 22, 12 noon; and
