Southern Gospel Trio Break Charting Record With 7th Consecutive Number 1

June 1, 2010

Asheboro, NC – June 1st, 2010 – The Southern Gospel Trio, “ONE VOICE” has created a brand new historical record in the charting history of Radioactive Airplay. RAA confirmed today that the latest single release “Everybody Needs Jesus” written by award winning songwriter Mark Mathes, has scored a first time ever, 7th consecutive week at Number 1.

Radio DJ’s from around the world have embraced the song and placed it into heavy rotation. The success of the song is already bringing the Marion IL. based group into several states outside their normal touring area. According to group member Matt Throgmorton, Although the reason for the release of this song was to broaden our reach, we never dreamed that we would be traveling to SC, TX, AL and beyond within just two months of releasing this song.  It has really opened some doors for us and we thank God for using the song to do that.”

One Voice released the song through Radioactive Airplay.Com and the song rapidly became the most downloaded song in the RAA system. According to Charles Brady of Radioactive Airplay, “ The average length of time that a really great song stays at Number 1 is just 2-3 weeks. The previous record was for 5 consecutive weeks which was held by Austins Bridge since 2007 and to be honest I didn’t think that record would ever be broken. To see a song remain at Number 1 for 7 consecutive weeks is just incredible. One Voice rolled up their sleeves and went to work on this song and they are still promoting it by making regular calls to radio. It just goes to show that no one can promote your song and ministry like you can when you know the right way to do it! At RAA we are thrilled to see the success of this hard working group. My personal congratulations to One Voice for all the hard work they put into the promotion of this tremendous song!”

DJ’s and Program Directors can find the song by visiting www.radioactiveairplay.com

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Announce Cathedrals Tribute Concert & Video Taping

June 1, 2010

(Alexandria, IN) – On July 24, 2010, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound will present a Cathedrals Tribute concert & video taping at Reardon Auditorium on the campus of Anderson University. The evening will be hosted by Bill Gaither and will feature Ernie Haase, Devin McGlamery, Doug Anderson and Tim Duncan singing the best-loved songs from The Cathedrals’ legendary repertoire of quartet standards.  With their own unique style, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound will honor their quartet heritage while breathing new energy into gospel hits that have been favorites for decades.

Ernie is thrilled for this chance to honor his heroes, stating: “It is no secret that I loved (and still love) The Cathedral Quartet!  As a young teenager, I had a poster of them on my wall right next to my favorite sports icon. George and Glen were as big as Larry Bird and Pete Rose to me…even more so because their music changed and formed my life.

“To have been part of George & Glen’s history and to have been there for the last 10 years was nothing less than ‘epic’ for me. Now, ten years after The Cathedrals retirement, we are blessed beyond words to be able to revisit 20 of The Cathedrals most popular songs.  We have been working on this project for the last two years, giving our heart and soul for the two greatest gospel singers to ever grace the stage… George Younce and Glen Payne.  Together ‘THEY’ were The Cathedral Quartet and there will never be another.  I hope EH&SS listeners, as well as the old Cathedral fans, will be blessed and happy with what we have done to say ‘thanks’ to these great men.”

Friends and fans can be a part of history by attending the live taping. The concert time is 6:00 p.m. on July 24 at Reardon Auditorium in Anderson, Indiana. Tickets for Ernie Haase & Signature Sound’s Cathedrals Tribute are now on sale at the Reardon Auditorium box office ($25 or $20 pricing available depending on seat location) and can be reserved by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online through Ticketmaster
