JASON CRABB, COME ON DOWN TO ‘THE PRICE IS RIGHT!’
February 6, 2010
LOS ANGELES—On the heels of his GRAMMY® Award win earlier this week for Best Southern/Country/Bluegrass Gospel Album for his acclaimed self-titled debut, Spring Hill/Nine North recording artist Jason Crabb and his wife Shellye celebrated by visiting a taping of “The Price Is Right.”
While sitting in the studio audience, Jason was recognized by a contestant who spread the word of him being in attendance. Acknowledging Jason’s GRAMMY® win, “The Price Is Right” host Drew Carey congratulated him later in the taping. Afterwards, Jason and Shellye were invited backstage to meet the cast and crew of the show. Jason’s appearance is slated to be featured on the March 12 broadcast of “The Price Is Right.”
Although Jason and Shellye didn’t get to spin the wheel, bringing home a GRAMMY® Award is the best prize of all.

Harris Family Breaks Into Multiple Charts With Latest Hit
August 23, 2009
ASADENA, TX – August 22, 2009 – The Harris Family broke through at #64 on the Singing News Top 80 chart for September 2009. The song, “Testify”, is the debut single from the group’s latest CD entitled Rescued. Sue Harris of the group says, “We were honestly taken by complete surprise when we heard that Testify made the Singing News Chart. We knew that the song was doing well in certain pockets of the country, but had no idea that it was gaining national attention.” Sue continued, “We released the song through Radioactive Airplay and handled our own radio promotions, so this was truly a God thing. He alone gets all the praise and glory for the song’s success.”
“Testify” was written by noted songwriters Chris Binion and Jerry Kelso. “We just feel so blessed that Chris and Jerry allowed us to record this song”, says Sue. “We knew it was a great song and are thrilled to learn that others agree. It has been getting a great response from audiences and that has been very encouraging to us.” DJs and Radio Program Directors can download the song at www.radioactiveairplay.com.
RAA’s Charles Brady noted that the release had a strong showing among the DJ’s and PD’s when released on RadioActive Airplay in May. “The song debuted in the Top 20 of the RAA Real Time DJ Charts and spent several weeks in the Top 10 climbing as high as Number 3 on the Radioactive Airplay’s Weekly Top 100 Chart in May. We knew with this kind of response and a solid effort by the group that it would certainly gain them some national and international exposure for the song. RAA was thrilled to see an independent recording artist see this level of success with their song on multiple national and international charts. More importantly are the thousands of listeners around the world that have had the chance to be blessed by the song on radio!”
The Harris Family consists of Roger and Sue Harris, and their youngest daughter, Kristen. They make their home in Pasadena, Texas and have been singing Southern Gospel music since 2003. Violet Maynard Releases “My Refuge”
June 11, 2009
In a soft melodic melody of hope Violet Maynard in her newest radio release weaves a story of peace and assurance in her latest song “My Refuge.” According to the response she has seen at Radioactive Airplay it is obvious that the song is resonating well with DJ’s and their listeners across the country and around the world.
RAA head Charles Brady noted; “Radio DJ’s often play a vital role in our lives doing what they can to help and inspire and encourage the folks who listen to them every day. I guess in one sense they’re like our emotional therapist! They spin songs that help us kick start our day, make it through our day and then serve us up a good portion of excitement during the drive time home. In a time when so many people are hurting and looking for help and answers in such a depressed time, Violet Maynard’s song gives a strong sense of hope and peace and direction as she declares “He Is My Refuge!” What a powerful message! What a needed message! And Violet Maynard delivers the song in a persuasive and believable fashion! “
The song recently released on Radioactive Airplay was immediately embraced by many DJ’s and propelled it to a debut on the Top 100 Chart at Number 4! That is impressive by any standards but especially so for an Independent Recording Artist.
Fans can hear Violet at a number of upcoming events including the new Branson Gospel Music Convention which will be held at the Branson Convention Center in Branson MO. She will be at Booth #543 during the event. She will also be appearing at the Heir Wave Radio Gospel Music Showcase at the Horseshoe Theatre in the Monett City Auditorium in Monett MO on July 18th.

Independent Recording Artist Gaynelle Travis Has Passed Away
June 1, 2009
Mackie and Gaynelle Travis
Gaynelle and Mackies son just arrived from TX about an hour ago. Gaynelle has just passed away and entered into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5
1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
***********************************
I just received a call from Mackie Travis tonight. It is one of those calls that you always hope you never have to get. It appears that Gaynelle Travis, one of the most gifted and talented singer/songwriters I have ever known is losing her battle tonight and the family has been called in.
I couldn’t begin to put into words the emotions and the rollercoaster ride of hope and faith and despair that we not only feel but we know that the family must also be going through. This is the kind of thing that is not supposed to happening. Not to someone so gifted…. so young.
I’d ask you to take a moment if you would and pray a prayer for Gaynelle, Mackie, their 2 sons and daughter-in-laws and those 7 wonderful grandkids that love their grandparents so much. Pray for Gaynelle’s church family at Higher Ground Baptist Church in Lexington, NC
One of the sons is flying in from Texas tonight. Please pray that he gets a chance to be with his mom.
We pray for a miracle tonight because without it Gaynelle will soon be in the arms of her Lord. I know how much she loves Him. That has always been clear and very plain. She has represented her Lord in a great way. Many people have been touched by her ministry. I pray that tonight God grants us the miracle that is needed to keep her here with all of those of us who feel like we just couldn’t make it without Gaynelle.
Thanks for your prayers for Gaynelle tonight and for all the Travis family.
