Southern Gospel Trio Break Charting Record With 7th Consecutive Number 1

June 1, 2010

Asheboro, NC – June 1st, 2010 – The Southern Gospel Trio, “ONE VOICE” has created a brand new historical record in the charting history of Radioactive Airplay. RAA confirmed today that the latest single release “Everybody Needs Jesus” written by award winning songwriter Mark Mathes, has scored a first time ever, 7th consecutive week at Number 1.

Radio DJ’s from around the world have embraced the song and placed it into heavy rotation. The success of the song is already bringing the Marion IL. based group into several states outside their normal touring area. According to group member Matt Throgmorton, Although the reason for the release of this song was to broaden our reach, we never dreamed that we would be traveling to SC, TX, AL and beyond within just two months of releasing this song.  It has really opened some doors for us and we thank God for using the song to do that.”

One Voice released the song through Radioactive Airplay.Com and the song rapidly became the most downloaded song in the RAA system. According to Charles Brady of Radioactive Airplay, “ The average length of time that a really great song stays at Number 1 is just 2-3 weeks. The previous record was for 5 consecutive weeks which was held by Austins Bridge since 2007 and to be honest I didn’t think that record would ever be broken. To see a song remain at Number 1 for 7 consecutive weeks is just incredible. One Voice rolled up their sleeves and went to work on this song and they are still promoting it by making regular calls to radio. It just goes to show that no one can promote your song and ministry like you can when you know the right way to do it! At RAA we are thrilled to see the success of this hard working group. My personal congratulations to One Voice for all the hard work they put into the promotion of this tremendous song!”

DJ’s and Program Directors can find the song by visiting www.radioactiveairplay.com
