Singing School Anyone?
April 16, 2008
This is a note from Suzanne Graham about a singing school. ( If only I lived closer! I bet these folks will have a blast! )
If any of you happen to be in the Northwest Arkansas area, or want to refresh or begin learning music - Have I got a deal for you!
This Saturday, April 19, we will be having a one-day Singing School, hosted by the Northwest Arkansas Gospel Singers Association, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Eastside Christian Union Church in Springdale (on Butterfield Coach Road next to Harp’s Food Store). Marty and Ann Phillips, along with Gene Jeffress will be coming up for the day to offer classes in rudiments of music, shape note singing, and directing. Teaching in the morning and singing in the afternoon.
Lunch will be served and donations accepted to raise funds for the Singing School that will be held this coming Summer (It’s a week long school!).
Hope to see you there,
Suzanne Graham
***Just a note of interest - Mrs. Virginia played for the Weatherford Quartet, and is the great pianist that plays each year for the opening songs at the Brumley Singing! She’s awesome!***
