AWARD-WINNING FEMALE VOCALIST, JANET PASCHAL RELEASES TREASURE NOVEMBER 18

Multi-talented singer/songwriter and author Janet Paschal has completed work on a brand new recording. TREASURE will hit retail stores nationwide on Tuesday, November 18 on the Vine label and will be distributed by Crossroads Entertainment.

TREASURE marks the first release from the popular vocalist since the release of her Dove Award nominated recording, SOUNDS LIKE SUNDAY. With more than a dozen recordings to her credit, Paschal’s passion and vulnerability is most evident in her inspiring music, including this latest release. Her recordings have been recognized with numerous Grammy and Dove Award nominations, and she is consistently named among Gospel music’s favorite soloists by the genre’s top trade publications.

Produced by noted, long-time Paschal producer Wayne Haun, TREASURE is highlighted by songs that have left an indelible mark on the lives of listeners for many years, including the recording’s producer. “I grew up listening to these classics on LP,” Haun states. “These songs are a part of me. They not only define me as a person, but as a musician, as well. I taught myself to play and arrange by listening to these recordings. To be asked by Janet to revisit them is not only flattering, but also very humbling. I believe the recording will bring back many memories for listeners.”

TREASURE is a tribute to the past and a salute to the future, as Paschal has re-recorded 12 of her most requested songs made popular over the past three decades. In fact, several achieved chart-topping status during Paschal’s years with the popular musical group, The Rex Nelon Singers. Songs selected for this recording were many that Paschal fans have continued to request through the years. This list includes, “Come Morning,” “We Shall Wear A Robe & Crown,” “Jesus Is Alive & Well,” “I’m The One” and the recording’s debut release to radio stations nationwide, “Hide Me, Sweet Rock Of Ages.” Additionally, the recording features a duet with multi-award winning male vocalist, Ivan Parker, as the two deliver “Sail To The Other Side” to musical perfection.

The release of TREASURE coincides with the release of Paschal’s brand new book, Treasures Of The Snow, which will be available via Paschal’s website in November. The book chronicles Paschal’s battle with cancer, as well as memorable stories from life on the road. Both the audio recording and the book recount God’s careful orchestration of the events in the lives of this faithful servant.

For Paschal, writing the book and recording the songs featured on TREASURE reflect a walk down memory lane. “A song often returns me to a particular life event; a poignant mile marker,” Paschal shares. “I’ve a feeling this collection of songs will do the same for many, many listeners.”
