Branson, Mo. – (September 28th, 2008) On the opening night of the Branson Gospel Singer Songwriter Associations three day annual event for artists and songwriters,  the BGSSA and CMG  announced a special preferred partner  agreement between Dove award winning writers/publishers D.K. & Sherrie Brewster  of  Yet To Come Publishing and  Charles & Rosie Brady of Caraway Media Group.

D.K. Brewster of Yet to Come Publishing stated “CMG’s move into distributing digital downloads to radio stations has been one of the most innovative ideas I have seen.  At a time when due to economic realities most are having to cut back on the number of radio stations being serviced,  Radioactive Airplay is rapidly expanding the reach of the music of our writers and artists in our association in ways we never thought possible. “

Sherrie Brewster of Yet to Come Publishing commented;  “It is exciting to see how God is using Charles & Radioactive Airplay to get the music to the stations so they can share these powerful messages in song with their listeners. This is a wonderful opportunity for our writers and the artists that we work with.”

Charles Brady of CMG & Radioactive Airplay stated that he first became acquainted with DK and Sherrie Brewster through the Emergent Gospel Songfest. In going through hundreds of songs you begin to learn quickly who the Lord has His hand on when it comes to those folks who know and can recognize great music.  D.K. & Sherrie have written, co-written and published songs that have won countless major awards including the GMA’s coveted Dove Award and the Song of the Decade Award for “Praise His Name” which was recorded by Jeff and Sheri Easter.  Charles noted; “The thing that really attracted me to this talented couple was the passion and devotion they have to working and assisting other writers and artists. That’s exactly the goal we have for our company.  The goals we have are to educate, train, and equip those people who God has gifted with the ability to write and/or sing the message of the Gospel in song. When I find others that have those common goals and aspirations to see ministry expanded I want to work with those folks. DK & Sherrie Brewster have demonstrated a real love and passion for the songs and those who write and sing them.  I’m honored to be here in Branson, Mo with them this week  and with the BGSSA and I’m looking forward to working closely with them in developing this special new membership level for the BGSSA that has my full support behind it.”

The new agreement expands the offerings of Yet to Come Publishing and the BGSSA to include a brand new membership level that offers special pricing for RAA services along with special member opportunities to interact with industry leaders who share a likeminded passion for seeing music that lifts up Jesus Christ made available to every radio station.  CMG & Yet To Come Publishing along with the Branson Gospel Singer Songwriter Association will be working on special training events & seminars tailored specifically for this new Preferred Partner Membership level.  The events of this weekend are just a taste of what is “Yet To Come!”

The Branson Gospel Singer Songwriter Association is open for all artists and writers who are looking for an organization that offers regular opportunities for learning about songwriting and expanding the outreach and improving the quality of songs so that they meet the guidelines and quality standards for “broadcast ready” music that can then be offered for radio airplay.  To learn more about the opportunities and activities of the BGSSA or to sign up for membership in the organization you can visit www.yettocomeproductions.com

Multi Talented Musical Group, The Pfeifers Release New Recordings

September 21, 2008

Louisville, KY - Multi-talented musical group, The Pfeifers recently completed work on two brand new recordings. The audio recording, Carry The Banner, features the talents of long-time members, John Pfeifer, Candy Pfeifer and Mary Jane Carter, and also introduces listeners to The Pfeifers’ newest addition, keyboardist/vocalist, Justin Hill.
Produced and arranged by noted producer Steve Mauldin, Carry The Banner, features 10 cuts, including two instrumental ballads. Prolific writers who contributed to the recording include Chris Binion, Rebecca Peck, Paula Stefanovich and Karen Harding, as well as group members Candy Pfeifer and Justin Hill. The recording reflects the rich musical heritiage of a ministry that spans three generations, encompassing more than 60 years. The recording is a tribute to Pfeifer patriarch Don Pfeifer, John and Candy’s dad, who passed away in 2007. “Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease several years before his death,” Candy explains. “As we watch him experience this season, it was a very difficult season of life for us, as well. He became combative and noncompliant and had been unable to communicate for months, but as John and I were visiting with him one day he looked straight into my eyes and very clearly said ‘carry the banner’.”
Carry The Banner is complimented by the release of Then & Now, a video glimpse into the history of the Pfeifers and the banner this musical family has carried for the past three decades. The video features an intimate interview segment with present and former group members, as well as video clips of songs from the Pfeifer video library.
The recordings may be ordered online at www.pfeifers.com. Visit www.pfeifers.com to stay up-to-date on other exciting news from The Pfeifers.

Worship Artist Stephen Hurd To Release New CD; Times Of Refreshing Available in October

September 21, 2008

MOBILE, Ala. - Integrity Music announces the October 14 release of Times of Refreshing, a live worship album featuring artist and songwriter Stephen Hurd. The CD, his third with Integrity, following the critically acclaimed My Destiny and A Call To Worship.
Times of Refreshing offers 20 tracks of energetic praise and intimate worship recorded live at First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where Hurd serves as Music Minister.
Hurd, who co-produced and arranged the album with Justin Savage, invited 250 worship leaders, music directors and musicians from around the country to join him for the recording.  The result is an impactful musical offering that deliberately mixes hymns, contemporary worship and traditional Gospel to bring together generations, races and denominations.

“I have felt for a while the need to bring together worship leaders who serve pastors and congregations every week,” says Hurd of the decision to record the project with other “lead worshipers.”
“I wanted to do something that would refresh them so that they, in turn, could refresh their congregations, making the pastors’ job easier to introduce Jesus to the waiting people. This was an opportunity to love on them and pour into their lives.”

In addition to collaborating on production and arrangements, Hurd and Savage also co-wrote most of the songs for the album.

DecembeRadio Lands Highest Chart Debut with Sophomore Album

September 21, 2008

GRAMMY-nominated and DOVE Award-winning rock band DecembeRadio’s highly anticipated sophomore release hit shelves last week, coming in at #3 on the CCM sales chart, making it the week’s highest CCM debut. The project, Satisfied (Slanted Records), landed at #116 on the Top 200 BILLBOARD chart as well, as the band’s first week sales nearly doubled that of their lauded debut.

“This is certainly a high note for DecembeRadio,” stated Paul Sizelove, vice president of Slanted Records. “This band has hit the road hard continuously, and they take their musicianship very seriously. We are thrilled to see the responses they are getting and it’s gratifying to start out with a strong week at retail for an up-and-coming band.”

DecembeRadio performed songs from Satisfied at the newly renovated Hard Rock Café in Atlanta, GA, the week prior to street date. The Atlanta location was fitting as the band recorded the new release in the city’s famed Southern Tracks studio. The event was aired locally by radio station J93.3, where listeners tuned in all day on August 20th for the chance to win one of the new Satisfied releases during “DecembeRadio Day” at the station.

The band was featured on two segments of “Good Day Atlanta,” a popular show on Atlanta’s FOX affiliate, where they performed the title cut from the new release in addition to their DOVE-nominated hit “Drifter.”

DecembeRadio appeared street week for the student body at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., where they will return for Winterfest 2008, a youth music festival and conference to be held later this year. The band played two songs from Satisfied at the convocation service for an excited group of students.

After debuting some of the new release on a spring tour with Third Day, DecembeRadio hit several festivals this summer including last week’s Rock the Light event in Kansas City, Missouri, and experienced their first tour to Sweden and Norway alongside veterans Jars of Clay. In addition to their concert appearances, the group recently performed on “Every Day with Marcus and Lisa” (FamilyNet) and “Atlanta Live” with numerous on-air radio visits including WAY-FM’s “Total Axxess,” WONU (Bourbonnais, IL), WNAZ (Nashville, TN), KZKZ (Fort Smith, AR), WVFJ (Atlanta, GA) and KHZR (St. Louis, MO) among others.

“The past few months have felt like a whirlwind,” stated band member Eric Miker. “It feels like we’ve ‘lived’ on the road and in the studio for months. This is an exciting time for us, and we’re just happy that our fans can now experience the new record for themselves. When you live with it the way we have, it feels good to finally let go on stage through the new songs and see people enjoy them firsthand. We are grateful for everyone’s support and we feel it everywhere we go.”

“For Your Glory,” the first AC single from the project, is off to a rousing start with new adds this week. “Better Man,” the first rock single from the new release, is #4 on the rock New & Active chart; and “Believer,” already receiving glowing comments from program directors nationwide, has just gone for adds at CHR radio with numerous out-of-the-box adds.
